Remembering the Veterans

Remembering the Veterans

Death cries upon the wind,
Mournful emotions within.
Women and children alone,
Warrior's coming home,
Memories take over the time,
Loneliness invades the mind,
And on November 11th,
The Sovereign Nations
Will remember their Veterans.

Mother's and father's,
Saluting their sons and daughter's,
A young generation,
Fighting for liberation.
Dark clouds fill the sky,
While little children stand and cry,
And on November 11th,
The Sovereign Nations
Will remember their Veterans.

They were very brave and bold,
Warriors young and old.
Of their life they would give,
So their nations would live.
Keeping alive their culture and traditions,
Hoping to end the poverty conditions,
And on November 11th,
The Sovereign Nations
Will remember their Veterans.

They were America's best,
Yet so many have been laid to rest,
These proud and noble men,
These majestic women,
Our American Indian Warriors,
A generation of unique soldiers.
And on November 11th,
The Sovereign Nations
Will remember their Veterans.

And as the eagle flies high,
Many will look to the sky,
And while holding hands,
All across the land,
Words they will say,
For the lost they will pray.
And on November 11th,
The Sovereign Nations
Will remember their Veterans.

Hail to thee Sovereign Nations of American Indians!
For the wars you fought in have been for our freedom and liberation.
